Hi, my wife has discovered a mail message which is undeletable. It is
one of those German spam/virus messages running the rounds at the
moment, but has somehow found its way into a sent mail mailbox. It is
marked unread, even after being read. It cannot be deleted & its status

I know this is a basic one, but if I plug my Windows XP based computer
into the iMac w/ OS X I'm getting later this week, am I able to file
share between them and share my ADSL internet connection?

I have for sale an Epson Perfection 1260 Scanner. Comes with original
packaging and has had very little use. You can use the scanner with Mac
OS X's Image Capture app without installing any driver software which
is very handy and was the reason I purchased it in the first place.  OS

hi y'all:
In previous OSs, command-3 or command-4 would give you a screen shot
saved as a PDF. In Tiger, these files are now saved as .png, and opened
by Preview. How can I change the default file format back to PDF?

I have 10.3.9 installed on my Mac and since then little things have really
gone crazy

x2 now (in the space of 24 hrs), I had to rest the clock, it goes back to

I have PowerPoint installed on my Mac and I have troubles with 2 files now
One just would not open and I have just received another one and some msg
about active "x'  and some things will not work/open...aghhhh

Quick one. I'm thinking of switching to a Mac (from linux) to act as
the server for my small business, but I'm thinking of a Power Mac G5
desktop model rather than a Xserve G5, mostly because of cost, and the

In Tuesdays Australian David Frith suggests that virus may enter the Mac
on OS 10.4 by way of widget downloads. he suggest that in prefs for
safari look for "open safe files after downloading" and make sure it is
not checked. Now you can download widgets and will not run until ...
