| Honey, it's high time to take out the Trash | 05 Apr 2005 14:42 GMT | 2 |
I need help. I can't empty my trash, it gives me an error 8062 when I try. I haven't a clue what it means. Some strange event on my system (iMac 700mhz G4 flat screen running MacOS X.2.8) seemed to have done something to many of my files on one

| ScreenCleanerPro | 05 Apr 2005 09:48 GMT | 5 |
I downloaded this program from versiontracker (I think!) to see if it could do as it claimed with my ageing Snow iMac. It is supposed to gamma correct for 'tired' pixels and bring your old screen back to life. After about 10-15 minutes the screen darkened and then a 'cloth' came

A friend asked my opinion of a PC she was considering purchasing. I don't know enough about them to give an honest idea but I told her I thought she should spend the same amount ($A1500) on some Mac gear. She's not into huge graphics but runs a popular blog page and will be using

| resurrecting an iMac DV 400MHz | 04 Apr 2005 12:34 GMT | 4 |
I have just backed up and replaced the (old, loud, "tiny") 10Gb HD on my iMac DV, 400MHz, with a (new, quiet, "much bigger thank you") 200Gb Seagate drive. Now, how on earth can I get the thing to mount? I read the Really Useful Instructions on

| Turning off images in Browser | 01 Apr 2005 23:11 GMT | 6 |
Can anyone tell me how to turn off images in Safari or Camino on OSX? I have a reason for wanting to do so, temporarily, but there doesn't seem to be that option in either. There is one in Firefox, but not the others.
