G4 or Mac Mini?17 Apr 2005 05:23 GMT13
G'day All,
I'd like to get a more serious Mac machine, but am undecided whether to go
for a Mac Mini, or a G4 733MHz-ish.
Seems like the Mini has is over the G4 in terms of grunt, but the idea of
Analogue to Digital Video16 Apr 2005 13:05 GMT7
G'Day Mac Users,
I'm using iMovie HD 5.0.1 to capture some mini DV images that originally
came from poor quality VHS.  The original tape suffers "drop-outs" every
10 second or so.

Spam drop14 Apr 2005 09:48 GMT10
Has anyone else noticed that ever since that spammer got seriously
burned in a US court a few days ago, the level of spam has dropped off
significantly? On one of my accounts it has dropped to zero; on another
it is less. Hope it lasts!

recognizing servers or something at one moment, then choosing to send
the emails ten minutes later) I decided to switch over to the MAIL app
that comes with Panther (I've got a graphite G4 desktop)
CBA Netbanking no longer supports Safari13 Apr 2005 03:40 GMT24
Guess "Which Bank" has decided to lock Safari users out of Netbank?
Yes it's the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
They are currently trialling a new netbanking site and you won't be
able to use Safari or Mozilla Firefox on the new site.
Using your DV camera as a bridge for watching or recording TV12 Apr 2005 00:48 GMT4
We had a discussion in this group about this a couple of months ago, and
I was very happy to find that I could connect the DV camera to the
output from the VCR, record programs to tape in the camera, and then
play them back into iMovie for editing and saving.

weeks.
The boy has been found visiting unsuitable sites in the past.
Any suggestions on the best way to vet the sites he can visit on his login
TiBook patch up paint in Aus?08 Apr 2005 11:05 GMT2
Just wondering if anyone has found an alternative to TiPaint to repair
TiBooks?  I have read some bad reports on TiPaint (and don't actually know
anyone here who has received it).  Anyone tried a two pack or acrylic
lacquer based paint?

iPhoto 5 and 'Picture Books'06 Apr 2005 00:38 GMT8
Looks like the poor Aussies miss out again. Ordering the excellent
picture books is available in just about all the western world except
