Is there any problem with running a beige G3 desktop on its side, so it can fit in a space under a desk? eg gravity affecting the pickup arms in the CD drive, etc? Thanks

I'm the new boy to Macs. I have repeatedly tried to upgrade to Quicktime Pro. The site asks me for my Apple login (all OK) and my country, but then rejects my state and postcode!! How the hell does one upgrade?

I've got a 3rd gen 40Gb iPod which is very sick. I just can't get it to boot. I can reset it into disk mode and mount it no problem, but when I reset, it just stays on the Apple logo and goes no further. With it in disk mode I've updated the firmware and done a complete

Strange problem. Some CDs we've created on a PC (XP) cannot be read on a Mac (10.2.x). Strangely it can read files in the root directory of the CD, but not in sub-directories! Does this sound familiar or even plausible ?
