I have G4 400 Mhz AGP with 10.3.4 and until recently DVD Player v4 worked
OK. Suddenly after launch it started to crash without full launch.
Since there is no easy way to reinstall the components of X, I installed

I use IPHOTO 4.03 for my pics.
I use a 512 memory card and a "jump drive trio" to put the card into to
transfer to my Mac.

installer bombs out saying "Microsoft Setup was not completed successfully"

Due to a HD "semi" crash I had to reformat it, fortunately I was able to
salvage my data.
Reinstalled my apps, including iPhoto, dropped my rescued photo library into
my pictures folder and opened iPhoto.

With OS 10.3.7 when I launch Mail the coloured wheel spins for about 30
seconds before it is launched. Under 10.3.6 it was almost instantaneous.
Any ideas as to why and how to fix welcome.

Has anyone any experience with protecting a G5 against blackouts with a
UPS?  Which UPS did you use?
The APC web site suggests that a BackUPS CS500 (part number BK500EI) can

Mac is dead, Windows PCs have kicked the Mac rubbish HARD !!!
So give up this useless old-fashioned rubbish and buy a modern PC with
Windows XP !!!!
