Okay, trying to fresh install of Panther... machine is an iMac 350 with slot
load CDROM & (now) 384MB RAM.
(Firmware has been updated to whatever it was that it wanted before the OSX
install)

I am running jaguar on iMacG4 and every 30 minutes whilst on the net I
get a reminder from Internet connect that I am connected and do I wish
to stay connected.
Never did get this with my G3/Jaguar.

I was hoping that someone could help.
Keychains - How do you stop the popup request for access?
I have tried to repair the keychain. however when ever I boot in the usual

play nice with a B&W G3 running Panther. Or conversely someone to tell
me that that "seeing you are running 10.3 any 'such n such' compliant
card will just plug and play" because I should be able to get a pc

Is there an app that will detect all old and non operational bookmarks and

I have replaced the laptop hard drive and now it seems to run very hot

I've just inherited a 5500 250 (Black all in one). To use a 56k modem
instead of the internal 33k do I just remove the plastic cover over the
 communications port (and plug in my external 56k modem), or do I also

I have a few questions RE USB on my new eMac...
Firstly, when I was trying to use a DickSmith USB 128mb drive to move
programs from my TAM to the eMac, when mounting the drive on the eMac 2
drives would often appear on the desktop.  What causes that, and why?

i have a 3g 40 Gig Ipod. the sound started cutting out than it died. i'm
putting it in for warranty service tomorrow. my question is: i know apple do
a straight replace for them, but will i get a 3g or a 4 g one back?

Just wondering what people are using to read this group? I have just
