Sometimes, on starting my keyboard will not work and sometimes it does. When it will not work I have to disconnect the USB connection and reconnect. Imac 800m flat screen.

A friend (who is a PC person) has given me some tv shows on a DVD in .avi format, but it turns out I don't have the programs to look at them. I tried looking at versiontracker, but found myself swamped in information. I downloaded the latest Quicktime, but that doesn't work.
