Does anyone know Why is it, when I use Handbrake to encode a dvd to an Mp4 the results are bloody brilliant (low bit rate , sharp picture 720x400) BUT when I get a high quality mjpeg capture or dv file & export to mp4 using quicktime pro

I was thinking of putting a pc internal modem in a mac, say a g3 beige, to save on clutter. AFAIK there are no drivers for ANY pci slot modem, though... Has anyone ever seen one or got one to work

My eye tV produces great mpeg2 files from digital free to air. The included app has rudimentary editing facilities that can be used to edit out the commercials but not much else. You can also export to other formats enabling you to separate the audio track or edit with Final Cut, ...

Just wandering if any people here have got their Canon FB630U USB Scanner to work with 10.3.5 without installing VueScan. I'm a student and I cannot afford to buy any more software after buying a mac. Is there anything I can do? I've downloaded the drivers from the Canon

I was looking for some files and found them, but I tried to expand my search to the trash bin, since you just "add" a volume , disk etc, but I couldn't "add" the trash bin Is there a way to find files in the trash bin?

Well, been using OS X (and the accompanying apps) for about 6 weeks... iPhoto I cannot believe that in order to use different libraries, you need to quit the ap, rename the folder, then resume the ap and select another

Hi all, just wondering if you know of any free programs that will load up the CPU as a stress test. SETI@home was one thing I had in mind, but that needs to connect to a server. I want something I can carry around on CD that will load up the CPUs in MacOS X.

Have a 11mth old Dual Mirror Door ( purchased from NextByte) with 80/10Gb drive (OS9 on the 10Gb), Combo drive, 512mb ram, USB 2.0 PCI card, Firewire 800, balance of 3yr Applecare warranty, Panther install disks etc. In as new condition (still has protective film on mirror doors)
