I thought I'd let everyone know, so you are warned. I don't use OSX's Mail app; I prefer Thunderbird and changed to it some months back. I left the old Mail app in it its folder and forgot all about it.

Looking into ADSL and there is a lot out there. When you ³sign up² you can get a modem supplied or buy one of your own. Is it best to let the ISP supply the modem? Are they good ones?

Has anyone had any experience with using the old 'flying saucer' round supplies from the original TiBook with a new AlBook? I know that Apple don't recommend it, but I've been unable to find comparative power supply specs.

I have set up Open Office (the free replacement for MS Office). I know it runs under X11, but now every time I start up I get terminal mode, and cannot stop it, until I hit exit. Any ideas as to how to turn this off very welcome.

I remember using a program that allowed me to export/save an AVI in segments small enough to import into iMovie. Damned if I can find it now or even remember which one it was. Can any body help?

Somehow I have a file on my desk top which is locked, by a greyed ouy tick box, when I use the 'get info'. This means I can not unlock the file to delete. Any suggestions?? TIA
