We are both running the current version of Mac OSX and wondered how easy it was. Is it as easy for example of transferring a flle acorss say a ethernet network. Any help would be appreciated

My son's iMac DV [graphite] drive is making strange sounds and is ejecting disks rather sluggishly. It's a CD/DVD ROM drive. Does anyone know is this is motor of the drive or what? Thanks for any suggestions.

I am trying to use an old program Statview II (Abacus software 80's stuff). I get an error of no coprocessor installed Use Statview SE. I tried using John Neil's SotfFPU. This crashes 9.1 with a type 7 error just as the Finder is loading. Any thoughts ?

Been a PC user for many years, quite a few friends have recently crossed over to Mac's and so am also considering crossing over. There a quite a few Power Mac G4/450MHz systems on eBay that I would like to bid on, but have many questions in regards to upgrades, etc.

I just acquired PowerBook 3400c 240 mhz model, It has Ethernet port but I was reading the books and it said it has combo modem and Ethernet, is that true its a Modem and Ethernet combo for Australian PowerBook 3400c?? Cheers

Just a quick question. Are the iBook battery models number A1008 from a 500/600 MHz iBook and model number A1061 from a 1 GHz iBook (both 12") basically the same ? Can I use the A1008 in my 1 GHz iBook ?
