I'd like to hear of experiences with Virtual PC. I switched to Mac within the last year and as it's almost tax time I want to be able to do my tax online with eTax. I'm assuming that eTax won't be Mac compatible again this year, if it is then great.

Ordered my eMac today. So, what is the best brand of dvd to buy for my huge VHS archiving job? Is there a cheaper alternative for "not so important jobs"? Do some brands work better on the Superdrive than others?

i am thinking of getting ADSL and i am a bit confused with the set-up biz i have a Cube 450MHZ running 10.3.4 and i have 1x ethernet port on it. Does a plug just go straight in that from the ethernet modem? You don't have to put some sort of "card" in the cube to get it working so ...

Finally... As per previous, am going from a Twentieth Anniversary Mac, with Bose 2.1 audio (ie 2 "jewel" speakers and a sub)... to the eMac... I see on Apple's website that it supposedly has 2 powerful stereo speakers...

Howdy, As per previous, am soon to own an eMac superdrive 512Mb/160Gb. This is an upgrade from a TAM running OS 8.6... What do I need to know about OS X?

I have ripped a DVD on my mac and that took up understandably nearly 5 GB. My question is, can i compress this DVD (like say a ZIP file) down to nearly 1/2 or nearly half? Do i just use a zip program, so this and any other files like it to save space?
