Compact Flash modems via Firewire card reader28 Feb 2004 11:11 GMT2
Just wondering if it is possible to get Compact Flash modems or GPS
receivers to work through a firewire (or USB) CF card reader? Tried a
CF GPS unit in my card reader but nothing shows up. The same card in a
PCMCIA adapter works in a PowerBook.

Powerbook question25 Feb 2004 11:23 GMT3
Here's a question....
Does a powerbook G4 with OS X 10.3 continue to run when the screen is folded
down, OR does it go to sleep? If it does go to sleep is there a way to stop
it?
How much for an Apple Laserwriter 16/600PS25 Feb 2004 11:17 GMT4
I am replacing a broken Laserwriter Pro 630 which I was very happy with,
and know someone selling a 16/600 for AU$500. Is this reasonable?
It has the extra 500 sheet Paper tray feeder underneath but I don't
think I really need it.
Query - VPC25 Feb 2004 02:28 GMT4
pardon my newbiness.. I really really want a Powerbook or iBook. The problem
is that I need, for work, to run a lot of Win apps. I know I can get Virtual
PC, will this run everything? What is the speed loss % compared to native
Win? I won't be running games (well new games anyway)?
Cheap powerbook sales?25 Feb 2004 02:23 GMT1
Hi, I'm currently looking for an apple powerbook and am looking into the
idea of maybe purchasing either a powerbook 15" or 17". Is there a cheap
place to get them cheap maybe secondhand or clearance stock? I've tried
ebay. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
