Laptop HD Price and Compatability31 Jan 2004 08:30 GMT1
Ok, decided to upgrade the hard drive in my 800MHz late '02 iBook.
Looked around on all the PC buying sites and found a Hitachi 60GB
notebook HD (with an 8 MB cache) for about $300 (http://www.umart.com.au/
phtml/products_list.phtml?id=10&id2=15&&bid=2&sid=7104). Found nothing
Default App when CF Inserted.31 Jan 2004 04:56 GMT1
I have a quicksilver G4/800 running panther.
When I insert a compact flash card from a digicam, iPhoto automaticly
starts up. How do I make another app start up instead?  I think I'd
rather startup the Canon browser, or Graphic Converter, since iPhoto

Previously I have had been able to install it in the G3/266

A few more questions29 Jan 2004 20:26 GMT1
Thanks for your advice in the other thread, I just have a few more
questions.
Is the 200Mhz difference between the iBook and eMac going to make a huge
difference in everyday use? Obviously it would affect video

New Mac29 Jan 2004 02:39 GMT7
Hi. I've been thinking about getting a new computer, and I'd love a new
Mac. I'm a little out of touch, since my last Apple computer was a
Performa 6400. (And before anyone goes looking at my post headers, yes
I'm using a Windows box right now. I'm mostly platforum neutral)

Wanted: iMac28 Jan 2004 04:17 GMT2
I've got a G3 Indigo iMac which is beautiful, but I really need one with
inbuilt FireWire.  Does anyone have a FireWire iMac that they're looking to
sell?  Ideally it will have CD-RW and be at least 500mhz.
I'm in Canberra, but will consider paying freight if I can find the right
Where can I get my eMac upgraded in Brisbane?28 Jan 2004 00:34 GMT3
I want to add a Pioneer 104 and 120Gb drive to my eMac.
While I've built PCs from scratch, I would rather just hand the eMac over
and get someone to do it, saving my sanity.
Does anyone have an idea on where I could take the eMac in Brisbane to have
Quadra 630s in Australia26 Jan 2004 01:42 GMT11
Quick question for those of us who can remember back to when Quadra 630s/LC
630s were released in Australia. Did we ever actually -get- a Quadra 630
here? All the LCs I've seen have full 68040s in them, and I can't remember
seeing a Quadra labelled version on eBay Australia, which ...
Why don't laptops have region free drives?25 Jan 2004 10:41 GMT6
