I'm just about to drown iTunes, and look for something else. Anyone
else having these problems? [G4-1.25ghz-10.3.1]
I drag mp3 files onto the iTunes window, just like it says to in the
Help file, and all that achieves is to get my cursor spinning -

My PowerCenter is struggling - the onboard SCSI chip is virtually dead,
I've had to clock back the CPU. I need a replacement.
Why am I looking for such an old machine? I still need to be able to run
System 7.6.1 on occasion, and I also don't mind the old mini-tower case

I'm still very new to OSX (after about a decade using macs), and have
just upgraded to Panther on my machine (after a brief time with
10.2.8). I'm on a home LAN with shared cable connection. But this is
the only OSX machine so far. (3 OS9 macs, 1 PC with WinXPHome).

I'm looking for a good, reliable ext. Firewire drive and a DVD Burner. I
take it that a third party burner won't work with IDVD so what's a good
authouring program? I'm assuming TOAST.

When you start typing an address in the To: field of a new message in
Mail.app, it helpfully suggests a list of addresses you might be trying
to type, from the list of addresses you've ever sent mail to or recieved
mail from.

Sorry for what will do doubt turn out to be a basic question....
But how do I stop my monitor turning off after a period of non-use?   I have
looked but cannot find a setting?
I have (yes it's old) a G3 400 (beige) and OS8.1.

Hi all...
After an imac and emac that I am currently using at office/uni.. I am
convinced that I should own one for home for email and casual internet
surfing and maybe some wordprocessing...

I am using Panther 10.3.1 and whille things seem to be going alright there
is one prob that has happened 3x now.
When I start up/boot up  there is no sound.
I go to the sound device part and it saids no output devices!

I'm after a 128 meg or 256 meg Sony memory stick. Doesn't have to be
Sony branded, just 100% Sony compatible.
