What about the latest rort these characters are trying to pull, I took my G5 in, which I bought from them about 60 days ago, with a suspected video card problem, and was told that there was a "queue jumping fee" of $159.00! If this fee was not paid then it would be five days or so ...

I have recently aquired a G4 Powerbook with Superdrive and Toast 6.0 and am interested to know if and how I can burn commercial dvds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. J

I am still seeking to preserve my video collection onto DVD (for play in a DVD player). My requirements are: a) Being able to edit (fairly extensively) b) At Least 100 min "vhs" quality per disc (pref up to 150 mins)

Saw on Ch7's morning show today that the iPod now has an adaptor that broadcasts on FM waves, ie can tune in your radio eg in your car to listen to the tunes... How much is this nifty little gadget?

I've got a friend (isn't that how all dodgy messages start?) who is looking to upgrade from a dp g4 running 9 happily to a g5. The main use for the machine is printing from Photoshop to an Epson 2000P and an Epson 2100.

Burning an MP3 format CD doesn't create a folder hierarchy any longer ie. files are stored at the root level. I think this stopped working when I upgraded to the latest version (52). Is it usual and can it be fixed somehow?

All my software CD's are kept on various HDD's for re-installation, etc, but of course I keep the CD's for security, etc. But they take up so much space in jewel cases in my CD rack, space which I'd rather keep for browsable music, etc

in the letter box this week, I just trolled through dozens of ads for Digital Cameras in the sub-$400 range. I am not a camera buff so do not need a stupendous amount of control or techno-tweakery, I leave that for the camera fiends.

About 4 years ago it was economical to do so...bit the A$ got bad and it became not a good deal but "unless I'm very much mistaken" it seems that a Dual G5 workstation imported would come up at laest A$1k cheaper... Any recent experiences?
