I am still trying to copy audio from audio tapes to a CD.  (Old
classics).

I have just had Panther in just over a week now and everything is going
good.
It wasn¹t at first, but I made sure I done a full format/delete and so far,

1. I have installed a laptop hard drive in a powerbook 5300 that worked
well in an external pcmcia case. Inside the laptop it made a huge
clattering sounds so I removed it. Inside the case again it is fine.
What would cause a hard drive to make so much noise?

Hi, I have a LaserWriter 4/600 PS that I would like to use on a PC running
WinXP Pro, does anyone know anything about doing this (cables, software,

I need a Mac with at least OS 8.6 or preferably higher.
It needs to work properly but that's about all. Basicly I'll use it to
familarise myself with some accessories I import which suit both PC and Mac

With the announcement of the Ibook G4, would it be possible that a G5
Powerbook is not too far away? It seems the main differences between the two
now are cosmetic and the powerbooks larger screen. Why would you need to
spend $500 - $1000 more on a powerbook?

I found that Image Capture in OSX 10.3 worked quite adequately for simple
scanning with my Epson 1650P. However when I installed Epson's own Smart
Panel and other utilities, this became the default application and now Image
Capture won't recognise the scanner.
