ipod, itunes and external firewire drive problem.31 Oct 2003 14:16 GMT23
Problem: itunes doesn't recognize an iPod daisychained to an external
firewire drive.
I've got a biggish music collection housed on an external firewire drive
(Lacie 200gb). My powerbook sees it no problem.

Bring back OS 930 Oct 2003 10:50 GMT1

from an Apple reseller) in my G4/466 has slowed everything down? -
particularly when switching between apps, there's a 1-2 second delay
Thanks

Firewire question29 Oct 2003 02:26 GMT2
My new eMac is fantastic, can't fault it in any way, but does anybody
know of a way to make the screen display to a firewire device? Is
there a software hack which might do this? It's not an urgent request,
just a curiosity.

Inexpensive database ?28 Oct 2003 12:52 GMT18
I'm trying to find a relatively (no pun intended) simple
freeware/shareware database, suitable to record, sort, print, etc a home
library, with details such as title, publisher, cost, comments.
I've looked at a few at Twocows, but nothing suited.

Printing from Classic Apps?28 Oct 2003 03:50 GMT2
I can't get Classic apps to recognize my shiney new HP1210 printer.
I suspect its HP's driver, which seems to install an 1100 series
driver in the Classic system folder and has no custom install option.
Can't boot into Classic (too new a machine to do that) to install the
Printing to Windows network28 Oct 2003 02:24 GMT5
I have the misfortune to work in an agressively Windows environment.
If I want to print with my iBook 700 OS.2.7 I simply print to my printer
but at work it's a different problem. The only printers available are on
Windows shares.
