I have a TAM, and a Celeron 366.
Floppy in the TAM destroys floppies.
Only have scsi external drives, and no scsi card for the celeron.
No cd burner.

I have been having a problem with the installing of the mirrored copy of
americas army 1.9 for mac that is on the games area section of bigpond.
The file downloads ok = 526mb in size

Running a G4, 350mhz AGP model with Sony 200ES 17in.
Every 2-3rd boot the screen is set to the wrong resolution. The problem
disappears after reboot, i.e. goes back to running at 1024x768, 85Hz.
Is the Rage 128 Pro finished? I've attempted to reset the PRAM, but alas

Hi, I have a PC home network, and have recently aquired an old 7200/120 mac
running OS 8.6. Is there any way I can share files between them? I've got
some that are too large for floppy disks.

I recently changed to optus... which was going ok... but when they
introduced their national dial in number, I started getting "this number
is not connected" when I would dial in.
Thing is, it wouldn't always do it - other times it would either be busy,

Thanks for your encouraging remarks about the iBook, since it's at the
cheapo end of the mac market, where I could at least entertain a
fantasy of having one.  Shame it can't be raised an octave to G4.  I

Just picked up the subject machine and would like to get some use out of the
DAT drive. Apple System Profiler can see the drive but says there is no
mounted media inserted loaded (even though a DAT is in the slot). Another
application says there is no drivers loaded.

But now I am living in mainland China and I have no reasonable way to get
upgrades for my software and some of my primary software won't work in
