I've just got a Canon A70 digital camera. Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to get iPhoto to open when I plug it into my Powerbook? I've tried with the camera turned on, off, with iPhoto open, closed etc. Is there a magic sequence and settings (and where to set them) to get

Apple is comparing their new 64bit machine against a 32bit machine. They aint got the balls to show us the benchmarks against the Opteron or Itanium. Nor do they have the balls to demonstrate the 64bit version of Unreal

A friend's Classic II failed to boot up after giving sterling service since new, and now starts with a grey screen, startup chime, and then plays this little tune. PRAM battery dead, or dead hard drive, or what? Thank you.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a really good hard drive, around 120-160GB, that isn't overpriced, will take reliability over super-speediness too. Quietness is a definite must have...... For use in a 3.5" ext FW case.
