iBook G4, 10.4.11, iLife '08, iWeb 2.0.3
In iWeb, on my machine, I see my blog section of my site, Entries and
Archives.  Selecting either displays, on my machine, just what I expect
to see: the entries that will appear on the browser page for my site and
Merlin vs. OmniPlan23 Jul 2008 23:41 GMT19
I may be needing to do some project planning at home under OS X and
was looking at OmniPlan and Merlin as the two most likely candidate
apps. The main requirement is that the application export to MS
Project format as this is a work project and needs to be sent back to
Scan an album cover23 Jul 2008 04:56 GMT8
Is there a cheap way to scan a laserdisc cover and shrink it to fit on
a DvD container?   My scanner isn't as big as a laserdisc cover.
Adding to BBEdit contextual menu23 Jul 2008 00:47 GMT2
Anyone know how you can add a "view in separate window" to the
contextual menu that comes up with mouse on text window and control
click? Saving having to go to View menu? Have either forgotten or never
knew or it is not easily possible.
DVD Write Error with Toast 8.022 Jul 2008 19:52 GMT7
I'm making backup copies of some of my favorite DVDs and have run into a
problem that I would like to solve.
First I rip the original DVD to my hard disk, then I burn a DVD in my
external LaCie CD/DVD burner. With larger size DVDs I get the process
Changing colors or contrast in Safari bookmarks bar22 Jul 2008 17:20 GMT17
I've set up my elderly mother's Safari with the places she goes to most
in the bookmark bar.  I thought this would make things easier for her,
since she has trouble finding things in menus (she can never remember
what menu to go to).  But the problem she has with this is that ...
ftp-ing directory tree22 Jul 2008 10:17 GMT10
Does anyone have suggestions for a package that
will ftp the full contents of a directory that
has multiple directory trees?
Raw ftp apparently avoids such a (dangerous?) command.
Little problem withTtime Maxhine22 Jul 2008 07:04 GMT5
I have a brand new Intel Mac Pro. My backup volume for TM is an external
"500" GB Lacie Big Disk extreme ( in fact about 465 GB available), GUID
HFS+ Journaled mono-partitioned and connected by FW 800. I had to insist
several times to setup the disk as recipient for TM (in TM ...
Corrupted diacritical accents in iTunes 7.721 Jul 2008 20:10 GMT7
I updated to iTunes 7.7 (running OS X 10.4.11) and discovered that all
the diacritical accents in the mp3 tags have been corrupted. They
still look normal in the play window, but when I open info for any
mp3, I get strange-looking words. Since much of my iTune library
iPhoto suddenly using all of once CPU core21 Jul 2008 18:57 GMT14
Anyone seeing this under Leopard? Between this and MobileMe sync (which
doesn't use much CPU power, but does weirdly slow my late 2007 2.8GHz
iMac to a crawl) happening all the effing time my Mac is dog effing slow
right now. Not that it's ever been as fast as even a G3 running ...
PDF -> editor21 Jul 2008 18:27 GMT21
Is there a program that will read PDF and interpret into some internal
form that's editable in any way? Folowing which, one might export it in
some printable form like PDF?
It's sort of diappointing to see OpenOffice read a file and display a mass
TM trouble with shutdown21 Jul 2008 18:20 GMT13
I'm having problems with TM when I automatically shut down my iMac. When I
reboot, TM fails to be able to recover and automatically start backing up.
I have to turn off TM, turn off the menulet display, eject the external
drive, then restart it and reset it all. Does anyone know of ...

I instaled gnupg using macports.  Not Enigmail is asking me where the
executable file is.  Where the heck did it install to?
