Seemingly for no reason at all, my Quicktime and Realplayer have stopped playing audio. I have checked all the settings, I have made sure there is no mute in anything, and the sound control panel looks fine.

iBook G4, OS X 10.4.11, iCal 2.0.5 When iCal is closed and a alarm goes off, the window that pops up appears almost completely offscreen in the upper right corner of the screen.

I bought MS Dictate and after *much* trouble, was finally able to get it to install (problem: my username was in Japanese). Now, I'm finding that it doesn't want to update me to version 1.0.1. Instead, it says that my release 1331 is the latest one.

for some time VLC has failed to show the picture window on my iMac. Sound is there but no picture, and I have a message : "macosx: QT doesn't support any appropriate chroma" This for VLC 0.8.6 a, c and h.

I'd love to have a mouse-click (or single key plus mouse click) way to open a new Finder window? -- or alternatively to drop down a live but floating Finder sidebar, or a contextual menu that was the same as my customized Sidebar?

All my music was on an external HD & in my iTunes library. I bought a large internal HD & moved all the music to it. Now in my library I have duplicates of everything, with the one that was on the external drive showing as 'can't be found'.
