| 40tude gone wonky | 23 Jun 2008 18:45 GMT | 2 |
I just now tried to post a reply in another thread, and 40tude has decided to post my many of the NGs I subscribe to instead of just the one I'm replying to. Why does it want to reply to all kinds of groups when I only want to reply to the one? Is there a way to control this?

| Text clipping in Word | 23 Jun 2008 17:21 GMT | 9 |
It's been a while since I have dragged text out of applications onto the Desktop to create clippings but was surprised that when I did this from Word (2004) it does not create a text clipping but a picture clipping. Is this normal behaviour? I notice that if I do the same thing from

I created a sparse bundle, with a start size of 100 mb, then started to copy files to it. It ran out of space before I was able to copy everything to it. I thought sparse bundles automatically expand in size. Do I need to

The alt-fan.cecil-adams newsgroup is discussing whether to move over to misc.facts.straight-dope in the wake of the decision by several ISPs to discontinue access to the alt.* hierarchy. In anticipation of this move, a number of AFCA posters have started cross-posting to MFSD. ...

| Pages '08 centering an image | 23 Jun 2008 01:06 GMT | 4 |
I want to center an in-line image in Pages '08 but cannot see how to do that. I suppose I could make it a floating object (which does appear to allow placement) and then move it as I add or delete text, but that seems hokey.

| This is too funny! | 22 Jun 2008 16:53 GMT | 19 |
Just playing on my iMac tonight, trying things out. Talk about ironic. Leopard has this great new feature, Coverflow, which allows me to see my files, well, you all already know. But it's not available in iPhoto, and I can't access my photos from Finder to use it! So I can see ...
