Apple Numbers prints too many pages26 Jun 2008 21:48 GMT3
I recently bought iWork and, in trying Numbers, I noticed that it
prints four pages for even the smallest spreadsheet, whereas Excel is
smart enough to only print one page. I suspect I could fix the problem
by reducing the number of rows and columns on the blank spreadsheet I
where did opera go?26 Jun 2008 16:56 GMT5
Some months ago I took opera out of my dock. I just
went to applications to fire it up for a test, and
it is gone.
The only thing I can thing of that might have caused
Numbers -- hal-l-l-p-p-p!26 Jun 2008 14:40 GMT11
OS 10.4.9, iWork '08, iBook G4
Today's my birthday and I'm old, so be nice.  "-)  (You guys have always
been nice; I'm just kidding.)   Trying to put more distance between
myself and Mr. Gates, I made my husband buy iWork '08 for me.
iPod compatability26 Jun 2008 05:44 GMT8
My new 3rd generation iPod tells me it can't be recognized by my PB G4
running OS X10.3.9. How high up the upgrade ladder do I need to go to
use my new toy? Will I still be able to run Classic? If not what are
my best solutions? How much should I expect to pay for this upgrade on
Neo-Office and Patches26 Jun 2008 00:57 GMT6
Mostly I don't download the many patches that Neo-Office have, so many!
I notice no disadvantage because I use the program in so limited a way
and it is all moot by the time a new version comes out. What surprises
me is the size of most of the patches, they all seem so enormous, ...
Silverkeeper headaches26 Jun 2008 00:19 GMT21
Using 10.4.11 with Silverkeeper 1.1.4 and am finding that Silverkeeper
takes forever (like several hours) to backup about 12 gb of stuff.  I
was wondering if I didn't make the backup bootable, would that save a
lot of time?  Does making the backup bootable make it more ...

Macbook Pro; Leopard. Mail application version 3.3 (924)
The dock icon for mail that I have dragged into the dock has come up
missing from the dock on two occasions about a month apart. Reboot won't
restore the icon. The program however is fine and remains in

I set up Stickies to open automatically at log in and looking at the

icon and click Show for the stickies to appear on my desktop.  Is

Well, Skype has just been broken by version 2.7.0.330. Avoid, avoid, avoid!24 Jun 2008 22:24 GMT24
It's now using all my Address Book phone numbers with the zero included
in the area code so of course every single number fails to work in
Skype.
So for example a phone number here in New Zealand is formatted:
IS THE JURY IN?  Should I update from 10.3.9 to 10.5.x?24 Jun 2008 15:08 GMT33
I have an iMac G5 with PPC 1.8GHZ and 1Gb of ram. I am needing to do
some web design and thought I would try iWeb '08. I will have to

Leopard at the Apple Store but can seem to get to them. Is Leopard the
My nephew's iMovie creation24 Jun 2008 03:16 GMT10
I think this is borderline on-topic since my 16-yr-old nephew, Kenny,
created this with iMovie:

Anyway, as a proud uncle, I thought I'd share it. Kenny is the bass
Downsizing an iWeb web site24 Jun 2008 01:38 GMT5
I created a web site using iWeb and have published it to my .Mac account
it is over 1000 pages in size and I would like to make a copy and
archive what I've created so far, and then strip out a lot of excess
pages leaving a much leaner web site.
SuperDuper backup won't boot24 Jun 2008 01:03 GMT13
I just got a MacBook Pro recently, migrating from my prior Powerbook.
Today I tried to backup the MBP using Super Duper - going from the HD on
the MBP to a partition on an external firewire HD.  I had previously
used that HD to backup the Powerbook, so I renamed it and as far as ...
