NeoOffice won't work with Reunion30 Apr 2008 18:53 GMT9
I can't get a Reunion report to work with NeoOffice.
It opens NeoOffice but just a blank page. What's wrong?
Thanks.
Installing OS into Sheepshaver from disk image30 Apr 2008 18:25 GMT6
I have an old Classic application that I depend on heavily (MYM).  I've
been keeping my old iBook running just for this, but I'd like to switch
to Sheepshaver emulation.
I don't have any OS 9 install CD's, so I downloaded a torrent of install
iSync doesn't see phone, but phone sees USB connection30 Apr 2008 17:58 GMT3
The last time I tried iSync with my Nokia 6133 phone, a couple of
months back, it synced, but now it has some bizarre problem.  I just
killed everything off, unplugged the phone, and started from scratch.
I plugged the USB cable into the phone and then into my Mac Powerbook
Filtering cross posted messages in usenet30 Apr 2008 16:00 GMT8
I'm using Hogwasher on a G5 iMac Power PC.  I want to filter messages that
are cross posted to more than 3 newsgroups.  Will the following do it?
":[^:]+:[^:]+:[^:]+:"
Many thanks.
Thoth regular expressions?29 Apr 2008 23:38 GMT1
I am trying to learn how to create useful filters in Thoth.
(1) One of the options is "regular expressions", but I can't find the
syntax in the user guide.
How does one specify AND, OR, and NOT in Thoth?
Default Finder View--Setting Across All Folders?29 Apr 2008 19:04 GMT14
Is there a way to set the default view for all folders visible from a user
account? That is, I would like to have every folder open in default view so
that if I make a change to default view it will affect every single folder.
I am using OS X 10.5.2 on a MacBook Pro
Q about Automating Podcast Downloading in Itunes29 Apr 2008 08:52 GMT1
Hi. I have an Imac running OS X 10.5.2.  I also have the latest version
of Itunes, 7.6.2.
I just discovered podcasts tonight and I subscribed to a few of them.  I
then went to Itunes Preferences and to the Podcasts section to set
External lacie 120 running, but not recognized?29 Apr 2008 03:51 GMT5
I have a Lacie external hard drive (120 gigs).  It has been great for
a while, but the other day using the Firewire, it is no longer
recognized.  I can hear it whiring and it sounds ok (I have had failed
HD's before and have learned to know the sound of death by HD).  I am
Mirroring displays from wide screen laptops?29 Apr 2008 00:33 GMT1
What's the drill for getting optimal mirroring of a MacBook Pro 17"
running Leopard to a few year old projector which I'm pretty sure is
either VGA or XGA?  Projector is thus 4:3 aspect ratio, while MacBook is
16:9 (or something like that)
2 software firewalls simultaneously?28 Apr 2008 22:20 GMT5
Would there be any good reason to run a second firewall alongside
Apple's default firewall? As in using ipfw via Water Roof for instance?
I don't want to be overly paranoid, but the 10.5 firewall just doesn't
leave me particularly comfortable due to its lack of configuration
Utility to Grab a Window Anywhere??28 Apr 2008 19:41 GMT3
Is there a tool somewhere that will allow me to grab a window ANYWHERE
along its border to move it or resize it, rather than only being able
to grab the top header or lower corner, respectively?  Seems to me
there was something  like that for classic, or maybe it ran slow or
iChat Video Conferencing28 Apr 2008 11:01 GMT3
I recently set up my iMac and two other MacBooks to get a look at the
(up to) 4-way video conferencing. I was unimpressed to say the least.
The picture was very blurry.  I had done this before using my iMac and
ONE other MacBook and it was crystal clear.  Any ideas as to what is
Apple seems to have mislead me....28 Apr 2008 07:30 GMT20
Was I wrong to think that purchasing the imic and shure microphone
directly from apple would work with the ilife suite? It doesn't, only
with the provided "final vinyl" software. The recording level is at
50% of what it needs to be in the sound control panel, or any of the
IM Webapp for Ipod Touch28 Apr 2008 00:44 GMT2
