Anyone have a Macbook Pro (mine is brand new) that has keys sticking on
the keyboard? I seem to have an A that misses many times when I'm
typing. I get a few others missing as well but the a key is especially bad.
I would like to know if this is an issue or unique to my board ...

How far back in the history of the Finder or the Mac OS does the
convention go that Click and Drag means Move, and Option-Click and Drag
means Copy?  Is it in the original Mac Graphic Interface handbook and
standards doc?  (I'd look myself, but I'm away from my home library)

I've been using the very wonderful iTunes plug-in Volume Logic, which
worked wonders with MP3 sound quality using multiband compression, for
years now. At the weekend I went over to Leopard, Volume Logic ceased
to work and I've just learned that the program has been discontinued

A friend and me are experimenting with Screen Sharing through iChat.
When I select him and go to "Screen Sharing" at the bottom of the Buddy
List, I am able to select "Ask to share Leigh's screen" (ie his screen).
On his computer, he is able to select "Share my screen with Danny" ...

I just downloaded, using iTunes, 53 hour-long seminar files from a
university lecture series that's distributed (free) through Apple iTunes
U (no DRM that I'm aware of).  I'd now like to collect these 53 files in
a folder and ship them off to someone else on a CD or online.

I do a lots of browsing and online reading (Slate, HuffPost, newspapers
and mags, other sites) using Safari 3.0.4 on a MacBook running10.4.11.  
In recent months there seemed to be an increasing number of times when
clicking on a link would launch a spinning beachball that went on ...

I lost some of the files on my computer and want to take my ipod in
for service.  Is there any program that will allow me to copy the
files from my ipod to my pc.  I'm mainly interested in the MP3 files I
placed on it when I first got it.

Is there some way to turn off Mail Status?
On my MBP, I have to click the Mail Status drop-down or shortcut to open
the mail panel on my desktop.  On my wife's PB, it opens when she starts
AIM and there does not seem to be a way to prevent it.  However, since

Well, much of it seemed to be Chinese for a while, but now it's
branching out. Is that the title I'll be reading in the Times in a
couple of weeks?
These guys have really stunk the place up in a way I haven't seen before.

The MT-Newswatcher says that I should tell Mail to make it my default
reader.  It already is.   But that's all I have been able to find to set
up MT-Newswatcher so that I can forward a message to an e-mail address.
