Time machine interval21 Mar 2008 18:19 GMT101
My Time Machine has been taking backups at 15 minute intervals.  I
checked System Settings and see that it thinks it is 1 hour intervals,
but I don't see where to change this setting.
I don't want 15 minute intervals.

this time it's happy, I play it. The end.
But sometimes I put a disk in this-away, maybe more than once, and it

VM-WARE vs Parallels20 Mar 2008 20:29 GMT24
I'm right now experimenting Parallels on a Linux system. The
installation of Windows 98 i choose for testing is incredibly slow.
I would like to know the opinions of Mac users (I'm one myself) about
the respective merits of VM-WARE and Parallels for Mac.
Is forgetfulness built into apps/OSX?20 Mar 2008 19:13 GMT3
Firefox, to take an example, is not open. You drag an html file

So - Is MacSpeech Dictate good enough to buy?20 Mar 2008 15:17 GMT18
On the other group (this is obviously the right group to review it), I
saw one review by Mark Conrad, which I hold suspect.  He is playing his
bizarre little mibd games.  And besides it's only one opinion.  And then
it devolved into an intricate discussion of mic electronics.  It ...
is Mac really virus free?  why is there a security patch?20 Mar 2008 15:14 GMT33
It is usually said that the Mac has no virus...  as in "zero" or
"none"....  now there have been security patches...  and so... if
there is no vulnerability, then why are there security patches?   if
there is vulnerability, could there have been virus planted on the

All the products I have seen come as PhotoShop plug-ins.  I need a
