.gtch QuickTime caches07 Mar 2008 03:21 GMT3
I've searched and couldn't find the answer to "Can I delete these files
from the Caches Folder?"
All articles I found refer to these as 'temporary' QuickTime files. Well
I have a folder of these files that was created last September, and all
Internet Explorer 8 beta release07 Mar 2008 02:46 GMT1
Internet Explorer 8 beta release is for developers, and Microsoft's
Dean Hachamovitch promised at MIX08 that IE8 will make it easier to
build Web sites for multiple browsers and stop wasting developers'
time. Microsoft's IE8 features Activities for looking up information
Time Machine recommendations06 Mar 2008 23:09 GMT4
When I start Time Machine, I plan on excluding my Parallels VM, but
not the copy I create every month.  (For myself and for my wife).
I also have an encrypted .dmg that I will do the same thing with
(manually copying it whenever).
Problems with Firefox passwords06 Mar 2008 21:47 GMT4
Seems like Firefox doesn't offer to make passwords many times when it
should. And if it does, it sometimes offers <> instead of the user id.
Do others have this problem?

Running MacOS X 10.4.11 on a G4 800 MHz iMac ...
For a while, I have been using Retrospect to backup to DVDs.  A couple
of days ago, I upgraded Retrospect to version 6.1.138.  I have just
attempted to do a backup---probably the first backup since the
iTunes volume level on iPod06 Mar 2008 19:06 GMT4
I have a few songs that play back on my iPod nano with a significantly
different relative volume compared to playing them on iTunes. These
are songs where I manually adjusted the volume. They had been way too
quiet, so I goosed the volume up 100% in iTunes and they sounded about
Movies don't have image in iTunes06 Mar 2008 17:08 GMT1

Apple Mail--Apparent Bug06 Mar 2008 16:41 GMT1
Sometimes when people forward messages they have received from someone
else (who may also have forwarded a message), part or all of the
forwarded message is invisible.  For example, today I received an 81.8
KB message that apparently only consisted of about 15 lines of text,

When will Delicious Library 2 be out?06 Mar 2008 07:14 GMT7
Any rumors about when will Delicious Library 2 be out?
At this date, I want to skip trying 1.6.6, and just buy 2.   But I'm
getting impatient.
Safari 3: problems with Gmail06 Mar 2008 05:30 GMT3
Safari 3 has problems with the Gmail site: When I load the Gmail page
with my e-mails it shows the number of unread e-mails in the title
(e.g. Gmail - Inbox (4)), but that title message doesn't change after
I've read all the e-mails. It's the same with Gmail chat: If my friend
Adobe Photoshop does not work on Leopard?05 Mar 2008 23:12 GMT6
I have Mac OS 10.5.2 ("Leopard") and I tried to install the trial
version of Adobe Photoshop ("ADBEPHSPCS3_WWE.dmg"), but when I mount
it and start the installer it says the file system is not supported.
But the System Requirements say that 10.5 Leopard is supported. Does

I have a total of 1 GB of RAM on my G4, and I want to add more.  I would
like to max out if I can but I am having problems and I'd appreciate a
hint as to which way to go.  Please.
When I add a 500 MB stick, I can operate for maybe half an hour and then
