I have a big collection of files with extension ".bwave" which I believe
came from the Mac graphics program Igor that I used long, long ago.  
[Igor was a truly superb graphics program that is still sold (and is
presumably still superb), but I ditched it during a Mac file cleanup ...

but Finder insists on mounting every disk I insert, which prevents

I need to show a recording on a Firewire miniDV camera (Canon MVX3i) on

If I'm doing a quick and dirty back up before something potentially
damaging, I'd back up everything everywhere.
But in order to glean, for whatever reason a user's basic needs, most
of it SHOULD be in the user directory.

I have iCal and dotmac.  I publish one-touch.  I can call up the
calendar while on the road at a borrowed PC and IE Explorer.
Can I modify my iCal entries on a PC?  Can I event do it if I'm
accessing via a Mac?

Anyone tried either of those? Any other solutions? Opinions? Pros and
cons? Is Apple's Backup app up to the task if I go with JungleDisk and
S3? Or what app did you use instead? How does JungleDisk work exactly?
What sort of drive appears? Limitations?

After Forte recent upgraded their APN
<http://www.forteinc.com/apn/index.php> server I have had MacSOUP choke
on various newsgroups at the point where it is fetching headers. The
progress window just flickers and no headers are ever downloaded. Right

I would like to have an item on the application which allows me to
change the language for spell checking quickly instead of going through
the edit-spelling menu. Does anybody know if there is a utility doing
this. This should probably not be too hard with AppleScript.
