In our office, we have a number of well developed Access 2003 & 2007

databases.  I set up virtual pc and run Access 2007 to make them accessible.
After the use for some time, they found very paintful to use this ...
Files icon display in Leopard18 Feb 2008 14:37 GMT4
Prior to Leopard, each file icon had a distinct look; you knew at a
glance which was a PDF, Excel or Word file.

The problem is that Safari does not handle them properly (they are shown

I have some MPEG video clips that QuickTime (7.4.1) will not play.
Also, MPEG Streamclip will not play them. However, VLC does play them!
Cool, but I want to burn them to a DVD. Now, VLC can transcode, and I
tried that, setting the audio and video both to mp4. This gave me a

Editing mail in Mail.app16 Feb 2008 18:16 GMT20
I asked this a long time ago and there wasn't a way to do it.  Is there
a way yet?  Sometimes I want to save just part of a mail item and I want
to remove all the clutter.  This is easy in Windows.  I don't know why
it is seemingly impossible in OS X.

Is it possible to type a caption or title on to a photo whilst it is in
iPhoto?   I need to do this in order to send some photos to overseas e-mail
correspondents who don't know the subjects.
I know it is possible to tile and describe them in the Information box in

Since MacOS 10.5 PDF files which I send to Windows users as attachment
in Apple Mail often have some additional characters after the suffix.
Anybody else with this problem? Any solution?

I use an Intel IMac and have a Lacie HDD attached to it. Presently I'm
set up in the power section to sleep both the Mac HDD and the monitor at

I've been considering the way I use the computer and am taking a look at
