Time Machine Problem20 Feb 2008 18:12 GMT1
Hi:  About once a week I get a dialog box that says "Time Machine backup
drive is read only.  Do you want to name another drive?"  The backup
drive is not full -- it has about 80GB available.
If I reset permissions this problem is solved.

Safari "Find" Function19 Feb 2008 20:00 GMT4
I like the Edit/Find function in Safari for searching on a web page.
But when you go to another web page the little Find window goes away.
Is there a way to have it stay there all the time. (This is in
addition to the Google search window in the upper right corner).
iTunes amazes me19 Feb 2008 19:47 GMT13
Today I took an old vinyl LP, and imported it into Sound Studio as an
AIFF file.  I then chopped the big AIFF file up into a bunch of
individual files, one for each track.  Then I used Toast to burn a CD of
it.

One Computer To Another18 Feb 2008 23:29 GMT10
I have an eMac with OS X 10.4.11 in one room and a Power Mac G4 with

I cannot install Tiger.------The G4 receives the internet through

MTNW and File Sizes18 Feb 2008 20:43 GMT2
Is there a maximum file size that MENW will download?  Ordinarily I have
no problem saving a file to my desktop or D/L folder, but this one just
won't save.  Could it be a size or setting issue or possibly the glacial
server that the Uploader used?
iTunes equalizer18 Feb 2008 18:58 GMT4
I only rarely make use of the iTunes equalizer so only noticed this
recently ... it doesn't work anymore! Changes to the EQ settings make no
difference to the sound output.
Any thoughts?
Need Data acquisition for Mac18 Feb 2008 16:42 GMT5
I know there are cheap data acquisition modules for PCs, but I need one
for a Mac.  I don't need fast or continuous data, most of what I want to
monitor is DC and has a cyclic time in minutes or hours. Does anyone
know of such a unit/software?
