editor suitable for multiple HTML files?22 Feb 2008 16:22 GMT33
Seeking an editor suitable for writing and editing multiple HTML files.
I haven't been very happy with web design editors.  I use TextEdit for
writing small numbers of HTML files, but it has no support for HTML
colour coding, and gets messy with large numbers of files.
Apple Mail: different text encoding as standard?22 Feb 2008 14:51 GMT1
How can I tell Apple Mail to send every new message with UTF-8 as text
encoding instead of the automatic setting which causes problems under
10.5.2 Leopard? The manual setting switches back to automatic with the
next new mail...

(Running Tiger 10.4.11) is there an easy way to create a list of all
folder titles that are contained within a certain folder?
Thank you.
Toast Titanium: how to trim22 Feb 2008 14:20 GMT5
I'm trying to burn an audio CD and can't figure out how to use the
much vaunted "track trim" feature in Toast 8. I don't see a trim
option anywhere. Anyone?

iMovie 7.1.1 doesn't recognize older versions of files22 Feb 2008 04:26 GMT4
Sheesh, this is aggravating. I just bought a new Mac and it came with
iMovie 7.1.1. I keep my videos on a NAS device, and now my new Mac
thinks all those files are QT movies, and iMovie won't open them with a
double cllick as my older version did. It wants me to import each clip
iTunes in Apple Lossless->iPod in AAC?22 Feb 2008 04:24 GMT1
Now that hard drives are cheap enough, I've started ripping my CD's in
Apple Lossless format. Aside from a possible audio improvement over
AAC, this way I can convert to another format in the future if AAC
becomes obsolete -- without suffering further audio quality
DVD Player21 Feb 2008 22:30 GMT6
DVD Player lets you save video clips and bookmarks. Where are they stored?
Is it possible so send a video clip from DVD player to an iPod?
Creating web archive21 Feb 2008 19:32 GMT9
Can someone suggest a good app for creating web archives the way you
could with Internet Explorer?
Safari archives only a single page, and it seems the items in the page
aren't safe (if Safari tries to refresh them and the original page no
Relocating iChat save folder?21 Feb 2008 15:16 GMT3
Is it possible to have iChat save conversations some place other than
its built-in (default) location?  (it's ~/Documents/iChats or
something like that.)   I tried replacing the iChat folder with an
alias named "iChat" to where I want the conversations to be saved, but
Need to re Install Tiger.  CD Drive not working21 Feb 2008 05:02 GMT2
Here is some background info that led to my current dilemma.  I asked
the techs at "macros X.com" their answer is included.

iCal/iPod synchronization problem21 Feb 2008 02:14 GMT2
I copied a bunch of .ics files in my ipod's calendar file. I open my
iPod and see each calendar item.
Then I plug it into my iMac and sync all calendars.
Now my iPod only has one .ics (iSync-Work.ics) file that contains the
Uninstalling/Removing Applications20 Feb 2008 22:36 GMT39
I'm new to Mac & Leopard.  In the PC world when you want to remove an
application you "Uninstalled" it.  How do you uninstall or remove an
application in the Mac world?  Is it as simple as dragging the
application's icon to the trash?
BBEdit and Control p20 Feb 2008 20:08 GMT18
It is naughty of me to ask this without looking harder to see how
it might be done myself. But just in case anyone simply knows:
Control P in an open text doc gets me an html paragraph opening
tag and closing one around selected passage. But only via a
How do I back up To Dos in my iCal?20 Feb 2008 19:54 GMT5
I use iMac and my iPhone for backing up iCal events and the contacts
in my address book -- no problem. But what about my To Dos in my iCal?
They don't sync with either, it appears. Or am I wrong?  Suggestions?
I just bought a LaCie back up for documents. Can I back up the To Dos
