Dear Webmaster, My name is Kirans and I have just gone through your site, and visited many pages. I have noticed that you have good content on the site. It would be better if we link to each other as reciprocal link place

| Airport at the Wrong Runway | 13 Dec 2007 19:55 GMT | 4 |
In recent weeks it seems that once or twice a day my Airport changes channels and instead of being connected wirelessly to my router I am connected to my Home Audio or to another router in the neighborhood, next door or across the street. My wife use to encounter this from

Steve Harris' NoteBook, based on the old Apple "desk accessory" finally died with Leopard. At least the beta version, hich I have used for years, died. The non-beta is no longer available. I don't need any complicated application - I want a simple little notepad that does not

| Getting downloaded concordance software to work | 13 Dec 2007 05:18 GMT | 2 |
Hi. I'm trying to make a concordance for the novel /Pale Fire/ from a scanned, proofread copy. That is, I want a list of every word (except "the", "and", etc.) with the page numbers where it appears. I thought I'd do this as a programming exercise, but faced with actually doing

| g77 or gfortran for Leopard | 12 Dec 2007 13:24 GMT | 6 |
I'd like to install a Fortran compiler on Leopard. I've found that g77 that I have used is moving toward gfortran. And some of the documentation says that I'll need to install an Apple Developer Kit for it.

| File selection dialogs listing all directories ? | 12 Dec 2007 12:43 GMT | 5 |
I found the documentation and utilities that made finder windows display all directories (like /etc ). However, I am still stuck with the file selection dialogues restricting access to the non-Unix directories only.

| is Intellitype _only_ for MS keyboards? | 12 Dec 2007 09:55 GMT | 2 |
I have a PC keyboard (by Unicomp) that has the usual Windows keys. The 'Windows' keys were easy: just painted them red and treat them as Cmd keys. But there's a single 'Apps' key just to the left of the right Ctrl key that right now seems to be a dead key on the Mac

| Not Happy with Mozy | 12 Dec 2007 09:43 GMT | 13 |
I used or for the better word, tried to use Mozy app. The most inept app I have ever seen. It tries to log into server when I don't even have it scheduled. Then it quits. I left the site and deleted my account. I will use the fileden and other file.com sites I know will

| iCal repeating To-Dos | 12 Dec 2007 05:14 GMT | 9 |
I'm looking at switching to iCal. I can see how to make a calendar Event recur, but is there really no way to make a To-Do recur? There's no 'Repeat' drop-down menu, like there is for Events. This is iCal 3.0.1 under OS 10.5.1.

| XVID codec, RCA Small Wonder, and QuickTime Player | 12 Dec 2007 04:25 GMT | 4 |
Videos taken with an RCA Small Wonder (a neat little low end pocket video camera) won't play in QuickTime Pro 7.3 on my Tiger MacBook. Movie Inspector says the format of these videos is "'XVID', 448 X 336". They do play in VLC <http://www.videolan.org/vlc/>; but I'd like to ...
