Now Up To Date export to iCal08 Nov 2007 19:10 GMT3
I have never really used iCal & Addressbook.  But I might seriously look
at them if I could export/ import my many years worth of Now Up To Date
& Contact  data to them.
I gather this is not easy (or even possible).
Share iTunes Library Between 2 Drives on Same Mac?08 Nov 2007 14:47 GMT2
What is the best way to share my iTunes library between internal hard
drives on the same computer?  I'm going to be switching back and forth
between Panther and Leopard for awhile.

Google Earth?08 Nov 2007 02:54 GMT10
I wonder why I couldn't down load the free version of Google Earth in
my country(Lebanon), knowing that I have had G.Earth before the format
of my PC. If no way to download it what is the way to do it? Buying
software?

This is a radio station that I listen to frequently online.
Previously I had an iBook G3 (1.33 GHz processor) that shipped with 10.4 and had
been upgraded a few times, but not to the most recently available version of
Leopard: QuickSilver07 Nov 2007 19:53 GMT7
QuickSilver is going open source, apparently.
I saw a comment on http://macupdate.com stating the author of
QuickSilver had temporarily disabled QuickSilver plugins due to concerns
about Leopard compatibility / security holes. But I can't seem to get
Taking screenshot question07 Nov 2007 17:36 GMT9
To take a screen shot of something on the screen, I think I understand
to use command/shift/3, but what program and procedure do I open and use
to paste the screenshot so I can print it out?
On the PC I could use Word Pad, but not sure about the IMac.

More Leopard Mail surprises07 Nov 2007 08:32 GMT3
I got an email from my sister-in-law that included this text:
"Anyway, so this week, I get to spend a day and a half in Gettysburg for
our retreat........... not nearly as much fun as San Diego, though I am
planning to do some holiday shopping at the outlet mall during our
Sound Editor Software?07 Nov 2007 00:47 GMT11
Can someone recommend some sound editing software that isn't
real expensive? What I want is something that will let me
clip and use a small part of a song, and/or something that
will let me save sound clips in different formats (WAV, MP3,
Help converting a QuickTime.mov to a DVD07 Nov 2007 00:31 GMT11
I accepted what sounded like an easy project that has turned harder than
expected.  I have an Apple Quicktime clip in .mov format and I think
(not sure) the audio may be in Flash.  My mission is copy the .mov file
to a DVD that will play on a TV set top box DVD Player for use in ...
ISO "sysadmin-grade" archiving software06 Nov 2007 21:25 GMT2
A recurrent chore I face is that of clearing out space from my hard
drives.  This means, in addition to trashing a lot of unnecessary
files, also burning a lot of low-usage stuff onto data DVDs.  It
is the latter that I'm calling "archiving".  (This, BTW, is completely
MT-NewsWatcher Font Question06 Nov 2007 19:28 GMT6
I recently started using MT-NewsWatcher, and like the program very much.
But there is one peculiar situation.  The window that lists the subject
lines, etc. for one newsgroup displays everything using a larger font
than the corresponding window for other newsgroups.
Audio Application to Clean Up Backround Noise on a Recording?06 Nov 2007 15:16 GMT3
Can anyone recommend an application to clean up background noise on an
audio recording?  Sounds like an air conditioner fan or room noise.
The CSI people always seem to be able to do it :-)
Odd Thoth (1.8.3) error in Leopard06 Nov 2007 02:56 GMT4
If I click and drag a thread title when I release the mouse button I
get an error: "An unexpected error occurred: -1857 [24]."
No effect that I can see. Just peculiar.
iphoto buddy disaster or virus06 Nov 2007 00:54 GMT15
I installed photo buddy, started up iphoto and no thumbnails or
photos. Did a rebuild and moved and rebuilt the libary. Now when I
clik to open a photo I get a BLACK CIRCLE WITH AN EXPLANITION POINT
INSIDE for all photos. This must be a virus or some such thing.
