I am looking for an editor or word processor that will load a text file
and break it down into single word usage of how many times a word is
used in a document? There are lots that do a word count of sorts, but I
have not found any that count occurrences of individual words. I ...

Have had the experience of deleting messages in the inbox of
Mail.app (Version 2.1, Tiger latest, Powermac) by simple select
and keyboard Delete but them *not* showing up in the Mail Trash
folder. Not sure if I am missing something here.

I have two questions:
a) How well, if at all, would the current Macintosh models run really
classic games like Dark Castle and Dungeon of Doom?
b) Is there a website or online resource where one can purchase such

I'm talking about games like Ancient Art of War, Cap'n Magneto,
Dungeon of Doom, Dark Castle, and Paper Airplane. Maybe even MacVegas
or World Builder (loved Radical Castle).

I start the download of an audio lecture from iTunes U (I'm just
downloading it, not "playing" it or listening to it).

  I got a promo copy of VirtualPC 7 with Windows XP Pro.  Now I have a
need to get just the os out of it.  My wife wants a new computer but

I just backed up my startup drive and figured that I would test the
integrity of the backup. Good thing I did! I used SuperDuper to backup
all files and chose the first image format that showed up, sparseimage.
Unfortunately, neither SuperDuper nor DiskUtility can read that

I bought a  used G-5 Dual 1.8 GHz and when trying to burn a DVD, I got a
message saying the action was not supported in iDVD.  I was very surprised
because I've had a lot of older Macs that allowed me to use iDVD.  Is there
