I reinitialized my .Mac mail box.. pop and smtp server were found without any problem I can receive my mail, but I cannot send mail via the .Mac smtp server, what could be wrong ?

It's been some two years since I accessed OS 9.22 on my system (iMac G5 PPC). I zipped it up real tidy and set it aside. I need to get back to it because I know no other decent way to open up my unconverted WriteNow files.

I get this message every time i try to synch my ipod video 60gb unit to my PC (not mac).. I'm using the latest version of itunes.. At one point i got a message about the ipod being corrupted, so i did a restore on it.. this didnt seem to help, as I get this message near

My mail folder contains 4.7 Mb in messages. The cache in /Library/Caches/Mail contains double that. Does Mail really need that? Can they be deleted? I'm using Panther (10.3.9) and Mail 1.3.11. Thanks again in advance.
