| Flash Drives between Macs and PC's best format question | 22 Oct 2007 15:54 GMT | 17 |
I notice that some of my flash drives are FAT16 and some are FAT32. Their general use is on the IMac, but every now and then I need to carry a file on over to the PC. I'm not having trouble doing this. My question concerns whether or not there is any advantage in using FAT16 ...

| Classic | 22 Oct 2007 02:43 GMT | 8 |
Why is Classic so unstable? I am using a PowerMac G4. I recently upgraded to OS 10.4.10 Tiger from OS 9.2.2. I have 1G memory. I have the Microsoft Office 2001 that I use a lot. I have acquired an extensive archive of files with Office 2001, and

| firefox and previously viewed pages? | 21 Oct 2007 20:57 GMT | 4 |
I read somewhere that some browsers provide the URL of your last viewed web page to the next web server you visit. Is that something Firefox does and if so, is there a way to stop it? What about other Mac browsers? Thanks.

iBook G4; OS 10.4.10. Hi. What am I doing wrong? I burned a Memorex DVD-R with Apple's software in my Super Drive. I stuck it in my tv's DVD tray and got an error message. "Please insert playable disc" or something like that.

| EyeTV vs Canopus ADVC110 | 20 Oct 2007 23:36 GMT | 14 |
I was looking to get a gizmo tthat would allow me to import VHS tapes into a digital format. I called a local Mac show and they were adamant that the Canopus ADVC110 was the one and only way worth considering. Then there's chatter about EyeTV, which I assume has the same general

I just installed Nemo last night to give it a trial run. Anyone have opinions on Nemo here? I'd especially be interested in hearing what other NewsWatcher veterans have to say about Nemo.

| MacSoup Killfile problem | 20 Oct 2007 17:19 GMT | 4 |
I use MacSoup 2.8.1 and generally love it... with one exception. The killfile is very problematic. Sometimes it works fine, but there are some people that keep right on coming through even after I have said to ignore any message from them.

| Clipboard Pasting app? | 20 Oct 2007 13:49 GMT | 12 |
Anyone know if there's an app or system extension that will allow the OS to hold a list of clipboard items in memory that you need often--something like the auto-fill memory in a browser, or maybe a pulldown list, only system-wide for the paste function?

I want to use xterm-256color in xterm under X11, there is an entry in / usr/share/terminfo/78, I guess this came with the default Mac OS X installation; there's also an entry in /opt/local/share/terminfo/x, which was installed via darwin port (ncurese), now my question:
