lock - Mail downloads messages again - how to eliminate duplicates25 Oct 2007 14:25 GMT2
My Mail seems to have lost messages.
It did lock up the whole computer (Force quit could not be started) so I
had to restart.
It seems to have lost the messages of one account. Fortunately many of
Stickies question25 Oct 2007 06:22 GMT8
Anyway to keep a sticky open on my screen while I have another program
open and on my screen and I am working on it. Like right now, as I
type in Safari, my stickie disappears.
Note-taking applications25 Oct 2007 05:41 GMT7
I am currently organising my notes using Hog Bay Notebook. This is being
developed any more, and I don't particularly like Mori, its successor.
HBN remains fine while I am on a PowerBook running Tiger. But I plan to
go to an Intel machine shortly (HBN will still run under Rosetta, ...
no virus on Mac -- NONE?25 Oct 2007 01:44 GMT37
so I heard that is no virus on the Mac OS X, is that the case?    I
would imagine that somebody would still write it... for example, the
person who got tired of writing virus for Windows XP might try writing
one...  so the number 0 is very amazing.  Is it in fact zero?
memory leak?24 Oct 2007 23:23 GMT7
I've been using Menu Meters on my Sawtooth with 10.3.9 for a long
time. I've noticed that the Used/Free totals starts out at 160/830 at
boot, but gradually creeps up as various applications are opened and
closed until well more than half the memory space is "Used". Now, I
Reply, Reply All, and Forward not working on certain messages24 Oct 2007 23:04 GMT1
Under OS X 10.4.10 and Mail.app 2.1 I have two messages in my
Inbox that I cannot reply to or forward.  Reply, Reply All, and
Forward work fine with all other messages.  Is this a known bug?
Thanks,

Boot Camp with Windows XP SP123 Oct 2007 23:14 GMT10
Has anybody tried running Boot Camp with an XP installation that does
not have SP2, but SP1? Are there any known issues doing this and
upgrading to SP2?
I only ask because I have a copy of XP Pro SP1, and I really don't
DDR for Mac non-gamer23 Oct 2007 21:47 GMT5
I'm a Mac user with no video game consoles whatsoever... but I'm dying to
try my hand (or rather, my feet) at Dance Dance Revolution or an
acceptable knock-off.  I bought a kid's toy last month, a dance mat with
accompanying music, but that doesn't work because you have to look down
Quicktime for XP23 Oct 2007 12:41 GMT5
I am learning Spanish with the Rosetta Stone software.  It installs
Quicktime to view the tutorials.  At some points in the program when
it starts playing speech, it "stutters"   Anyone know what causes
this?
will imac Leopard discs work with macbooks?23 Oct 2007 09:47 GMT4
As per subject- my guess is probably not- and I wouldn't expect anyone
to know from trying it yet! I've got two intel (core duo, i.e. earlier
version) macbooks, and am thinking of getting a new imac when leopard is
out- was hoping to transfer that onto my macbooks, but perhaps ...
Deauthorizing iTunes23 Oct 2007 05:35 GMT13
With the move to new computers and partitions, I'm running out of
authorized accounts for iTunes.  Isn't there a way to reset all the
iTunes accounts so that I can reauthorize only the ones that I want?
Thanks,
iTunes store23 Oct 2007 03:07 GMT7
Say, is the iTunes store down today or it is some fault with my
computer? There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. So I
guess there's something wrong with the store.
Mirror image help23 Oct 2007 01:46 GMT4
I just acquired a PowerMac G4 desktop from work.  I have been using a
PC for graphic design needs and pleaded with our software guys to give
me one of their macs.  I set the computer up and to my dismay the
computer does not boot and has OS 9.2 installed.  Unfortunately Mac's
MHTML Files23 Oct 2007 01:44 GMT17
I seem to have some MHTML files that were saved over on the PC. I've
transfered all my data files over to the IMac and have had no issues
opening files except the MHTML files.
It's no huge thing really as these files are simply additional data
