Tried to use MSN messenger today but it said I needed to update the software.
 Did a download but the file is a bin file! How do I install this please?

I am little confused. I did the ls -al /var/log/*out and got results
indicating that they had been run and the dates looked good. However, I
was reading thexlab.com FAQ and it sounded to me as though they don't
run when the MBP is sleeping. So, can I believe what the ls, etc. ...

I received several files with direction for a project in '.docx'
format.
I can't open them and my print shop can't open them.
Does anyone know what app might be used to open them?

I just bought an eMac running Panther.  At times the mouse  will freeze or
the screen will seem to blur as in motion.  I am unable to force quit the
application I am working on.  I can only work for about 15 minutes before I
notice this condition.  I did a restore of the system ...
