I've read that there is  a way to make Thunderbird interact with the Mac
address book but can find no howto.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks
DVD burnt with Toast unreadable18 Aug 2007 17:00 GMT5
I have burnt and checked a Mac-only data-DVD with Toast. The next day
it was unreadable (there are no scratches and dirt on it). I can't
mount it and I have found no way to get my data back. TechTool Pro for
example can't recover the files. Any suggestions?
Leopard Cost18 Aug 2007 08:55 GMT12
I don't suppose that there would be a price break on Leopard if you
bought a new Mac within 3 months or so of Leopard's release?

using a select query on the table which is taking long time to get
executed. Select query using the clustered index. How can I use
What are gray circles with white X's in iTunes?18 Aug 2007 03:00 GMT11
Hello, I want to download some podcasts. I subscribed in iTunes, but
even though it has a long list of episodes for the podcast, they all
have a gray circle on the right with a white x through it. It doesn't
seem like anything is happening in terms of getting the podcasts. What

Microsoft Entourage 11.3 (2004) and the Numpad Enter Key17 Aug 2007 20:49 GMT2
Hello all...
I've just stumbled across something truly odd. When composing a
message using Entourage, the ENTER key on the Apple keyboard's number
pad doesn't move the cursor down a line as would be expected.
web to iPhoto16 Aug 2007 21:31 GMT3
My daughter uploads photos to www.kodakgaller.com.   Now that our
primary photo machine is an iMac, I thought I would go there to
download the photos.   I opened up Safari, but could not figure out
how to get the photos - nor how to make sure they showed up as a roll
can I use an ibook as a display for a mini?16 Aug 2007 17:10 GMT3
I have an ibook,  four years old ... 900Mhz ...
I have hooked a camera up to it,  planning to use Skype for video
phone calls.
It seems,  however,  that the computer isn't fast enough for Skype ...
Need MS Office 2007 compatibility on your Mac?16 Aug 2007 05:49 GMT39
Apple's release of iWork '08 is "embarrassing," an analyst said Friday,
not for its maker, but for Apple's rival, Microsoft.
On Tuesday, Apple rolled out a refreshed iWork that added a spreadsheet,
dubbed Numbers, to the earlier mix of a word processor/page layout Pages
Scanner in OSX15 Aug 2007 23:37 GMT22
I have OSX 10.4.10. I also have a Canon LIDE 35 scanner left over from
my PC. I did all the research I could find concerning this scanner's
compatibility with my Intel IMac. It is my understanding after this
research that the scanner will work on OSX.

Is there a way other than a reboot to cause the hosts file to reload?
Is there some command similar to restarting the web server?

I'm looking for an application for sorting, classifying, moving around
photos, and creating various presentations of these -- websites with
thumbnails, DVDs, etc.
I know of iPhoto and hate it. I want something nicer, faster, more
Attaching emails to emails15 Aug 2007 21:54 GMT6
In Outlook, you can drag a mail from a folder and drop it into a new
email where it will appear as an attachment.  This is extremely useful
for:
1.  Passing messages on include all headers
Discus RE vs Disc Cover RE15 Aug 2007 21:42 GMT3
I'm confused.  I bought Toast Titanium 8 when it came out last year and
part of the bundle was Disc Cover RE 1.33
I'm snooping for a friend that wants to label cd/dvd's and note on
version tracker there is Discus RE 3.0.6.  It seems to be an
