I installed and attempted to use skype and it works,kinda.The sound quality is extremely poor.The voice breaks up significantly both in transmission and receiving.I am using a power mac 400 mhz.g4 with agp graphics.Do I need to give more memory to the skype app. and if so how

Is there a command to sort a hierarchical collection of folders and bookmarks (alphabetically) in the Safari Bookmark menu? [Netscape has this ability -- you can sort recursively down thru the hierarchy -- and it's very handy.]

I thought I was making an initial file backup of my Tiger-running MacBook's 80 GB internal HD, which was a bit less than half full, to an external 120 GB FireWire drive, using Retrospect 6.0. It took about four or five hours to copy all the 500,000+ files on the internal HD.

I created a word doc with lots of pasted images and I can't see them anymore on word with a pc. I want to know an easy way to view them without having to go back to a mac and manually fix it. Apple seems to want to make everybody go on a stupid treasure hunt to get still image

Whenever i install new software, it asks for a seria number. Where are these numbers stored, and if i back them up will that keep me from having to re-type them in case of a crash?? TIA!

This is both a question and a heads-up, I suppose. I went to get a password from Keychain Access today and it wasn't there. It was in a backup file, so I was able to get it, and there's no really serious harm done.

There must be some simple way to tweak my system, whether it is through a script or terminal or whatever- to get rid of the BIG red number, displaying the number of messages in my mailboxes, on my Mail dock icon. I canʻt figure out how. I find the huge display annoying

Too much spare time on my hands. . . . I really like the way the Mac Mail icon has the little red circle that displays the number of unread e-mail messages you have pending. I don't get a lot of e-mail, so the largest number of unread messages I've seen
