Whenever I click on a file in Firefox and the file gets opened in an
external application, a copy of the file is placed on my desktop. Very
often, I look at several pdf-files within a short time span, and my
desktop becomes a complete mess. Isn't there a way to disable this

I have a new MacBook Pro for about a month now and so far it's been pretty
good.  I need to run a couple of applications that only run on Windows

My understanding is the JPEG format suffers slight reductions in quality
every time you save the file.  I've been making more adjustments and
crops of my photos, and while I try to make them in one session before a

I knew how to download and extract binaries well enough using
stand-alone news readers, but I don't see how to do this using

Can anyone recommend a Mac specific application that can remove
passwords from MS Office documents? They abound in the PC world, but
all I've been able to find for the Mac is an app that removes pdf
passwords.

I used to be able to put notes and stuff into my iPod. Can I do this

I have a window with five tabs. I know I can save each tab as an html
file. However, is it possible to save all 5 tabs in one file, so that

I've used Windows quite a bit over the years and one thing that I can
remember being there in the past was a feature where you could make

Anyone using the latest Cyberduck, update came out today? It is a
bit different in the transfer window now. And a bit crazy too!
Keeps saying transfer incomplete and giving wrong quantity data
when in fact it does upload files.
