In Skype my contacts can't seen when I'm online26 Jul 2007 16:42 GMT2
I'm using Skype 2.0.0.6 and people tell me that they can't see or
contact me, even though my status is set to online and in my contact
list I can see that they are online too.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Cross Over from CodeWeaver and map programs26 Jul 2007 14:40 GMT2
I tried Cross Over with Gramin and DeLorme map programs.  In both cases,
the splash panel appeared but the program would not run.  I have Route
66 and Google Maps, so this isn't critical, but does anybody know of a
Windows map progam that will run under Cross Over?
iTunes and multiple iPods25 Jul 2007 21:38 GMT4
What is the best way to synch up two or more ipods to the same computer
without having different boot drives?  Is it as simple as having
multiple iTunes Libraries for the different iPods?  I've heard of using
the manual setting, but i need to keep things simple.
Drop-down menus change in Firefox25 Jul 2007 17:17 GMT16
I don't know whether it was their recent "upgrade" or something else,
but I just noticed that all Firefox's drop-down menus (typically that
show up on a right-click) have changed from a nice, small font to the
same one and same size that OS X uses for the main menus.

to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox.  Can't they read what
version browser I have?
Rationalising partitions25 Jul 2007 00:04 GMT2

you lot. I hope you are suitably honoured. What can we chat
about? How about this:
Soon I will be wanting to remove the partitions on my former 60
[safari 3] Adobe crashes24 Jul 2007 21:07 GMT2

when ever I want to download a pdf file, open it in the browser. Has
anyone else seen this bahaviour?

Any way to get Safari to NOT auto-complete URLs?24 Jul 2007 17:18 GMT11
Safari's "feature" of attempting to auto-fill URLs previously visited, if you
type them manually into the location bar, is getting a bit annoying.
How does one clear out that list so Safari won't do that anymore? Resetting
Safari doesn't work, neither does clearing the history or ...
Can a Mac give a Windoze machine AIDS24 Jul 2007 16:35 GMT14
I have a Mac G5 (which isn't on a network) with M$ Office.  I just sent
a friend with a Windows computer a short attachment file in M$ Word and
he emailed me back that his virus checker said that the file had a virus
and he won't open it.  I know that Macs presently can't get ...

Preview documents open off-screen24 Jul 2007 10:36 GMT5
I use two displays (of different sizes) and, if I turn on mirroring, Preview
documents open fully on-screen. However, if I turn mirroring off, Preview
documents open half-on one display and half-on the other (and off to one
side so that a part of the document is on neither display).

the platform-support#2 page does mention that it's an ongoing effort -
does anyone here know of any download links for any of the ports?

SuperDuper and "time elapsed"24 Jul 2007 01:51 GMT12
