I'm about to purchase a copy of Windows to install with Parallels and run just one Windows programme - Crossword Compiler - on my 17" MacBook Pro. Otherwise, I'm totally committed to Mac OS. I assume there's no reason to buy anything more expensive than Windows XP

I have a printer icon on the desktop and I can drop a file on it and it prints fine, but if I open the file and select print I get an error. I haven't tried all my apps that print but every one I have tried produced this error.

I am at last having to address the AppleWorks 5 to 6 downgrade. My key AppleWorks 5 macro, used to print envelopes, needs converted to applescript. Currently the user simply selects the text to appear on the envelope, presses the f5 key after placing the envelope in the printer.
