Assigning a Drive Letter in Parallels Desktop29 Jun 2007 23:37 GMT6
This is essentially a repeat of a posting made in the Parallels Desktop
support forum. Unfortunately I haven't yet received an answer to my query
there so I thought I'd try here, hoping that someone versed in Parallels
Desktop might be lurking.

10.4.10 networked from older Macs29 Jun 2007 16:06 GMT8
I've just made a jump to 10.4.10 (from 10.4.2) and now I find the
network connection from an older PPC (7300 running 9.1) cuts out after
about one minute. It's identical with two older machines.
Is there any way of working round this, network-wise, or is yet another

Simple CAD software available?29 Jun 2007 07:46 GMT11
I'm looking for an easy to use CAD program as I occasionally need to
draw something technical with dimensions etc. Nothing overly
complicated, but Photoshop elements just doesn't cut it. It's probably
better suited for photos as the name suggests.

formating a 2 GB SD card28 Jun 2007 17:35 GMT3
I need a 2 GB SD card for my PDA (MIO P500). No problem with a 1 GB

How to format a 2 GB SD card on my PB?
Parallels 3.0 bugs28 Jun 2007 13:01 GMT14
Parallels 3.0 has been released. It claims to offer 3D graphics and
DirectX support. However, these features do not appear to actually
work. It will not even run Solitaire or any of the other games included
in Vista.

an old machine running Mac OS  8. Now I need a FTP client to transfer
some files (the trial version of fetch has expired).
While looking through the net, I only see apps that require at least
Saving a file in Text Edit28 Jun 2007 04:37 GMT30
I have created a file from a post on this group by selecting, then
copying and pasting the wanted text from the post into text edit using
plain text. I used "save as" and assigned a name to the file then saved
it to the documents folder.
