on my PC I use StarOffice and I have saved most of my documents as Open
Text Documents (*.odt).
I have iWork 06 and Word for Mac, but until now I they didn't open an odt file.
I've found a very discouraging thread about StarOffice in the archive,

In the file structure of my iPhoto Library (ver 6.06), there are
folders Originals and Modified, which make obvious sense and have what
one would think they should. But there are also folders for 2001,
2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, which have subfolders for month (e.b., 07

With MacPro, latest iTunes, I just noticed hat I have three copes of
all music tracks. All will play. I can delete two of the three and
always the remaining track plays OK. The playlists are OK too. But I
start up a few times, and there are three copies again in music library.
