Since the last system update, Firefox silently fails to launch. It fails when launched from from the dock and when double-clicked in the applications folder. Any suggestions? TIA.

I have been using a Mac for five years and didn't know this so it may be useful to others. You can set Mail to keep items in the same subject string together. Go to View and set "Organize By Thread." If you are on a few mailing lists, as I am, you will love this.

I turn my iSight camera off and log off the software. Even though the green light is not ON on the camera, it feels warm to the touch. Doesn't the thing power down? Do I have to pull the USB plug every time I am not using it?

I have the complete collection of Computer Modern Postscript fonts obtained from a TeX download and stored as individual font files with names like CMxxxx in my OS 10.3.9 usr/Library/Fonts folder, and they work fine with TeXShop.
