I inherited an iMac blueberry 350 64/6GB/CD OS 8.6, which while
working fine, seems to be pretty useless in it's present configuration
(as there is virtually no software that works with such an old OS, not
even a browser that I can find.).

i have a video which is a .mov format and i need it to convert it to
mpeg2. however when i open the file wit mpeg streamclip and then go to
file and choose  convert to mpeg with mpeg2 audio, it cannot be
selected, or any of the other convert options...

Used Seatubes to grab some videos from Youtube (converting them to
Quicktime)  but they'll only play on my Imac, not my Macbook.

I'm looking into software that will let me get started remixing and

I back up an iBook G4 (10.4.8) over an Airport network in the middle of
the night. Sometimes the backup is not done. When I then look at the
Retrospect Client program the Off radio button is selected, even though

I am still using MS Office 98 on my OS 10.4.9. It works...
However I do have a few gripes with Word 98, and one is that I cant send
faxes natively anymore (as I could in OS 9), and must always convert my
