Internet passwords26 Apr 2007 15:46 GMT9
With Firefox, I save password clues within my bookmarks folder.
My wife is using Safari, and when she complained about losing a
password for a site, I tried to put a password in a bookmark, but at
least the default fields don't include a place for comments.
Client Certificates in Safari26 Apr 2007 13:37 GMT2
We are running a web based application that requires client
certificates be installed in the browser to authenticate the client.
The certificates are issued by MS Certificate Server (Windows 2000
Server).
Session Saver?26 Apr 2007 10:31 GMT3
It's a Firefox addon which allows you to quit Firefox and save all the
open tabs.  Unfortunately it only works with version 1.5 of Firefox and
I have version 2.  Is there another way of achieving this result with
either FF 2.0 or Safari or Camino.
Hogwasher25 Apr 2007 18:27 GMT15
Just purchased the Hog, or tried to. I received the first email
confirming the purchase but not the second which should include the
serial number. The first email says that the second mail should be
received at the same time.
WMV on Mac, to Windows25 Apr 2007 12:49 GMT3
Hi! Can anyone give me an answer to this question?
I have some Windows Media movies downloaded using Flip4Mac (free) on
Safari, and saved from there as QuickTime movies. So they are, I guess,
QT movies with WM video and WM audio content.
Safari Cache25 Apr 2007 09:43 GMT3
Just a quick query or two on Safari, and the few tools around that claim
to speed it up:
* Checking for updates - does MacOS Software Update handle this?  I
can't find anywhere in Safari itself to check for updates.

DVD ripper 2 DV24 Apr 2007 23:43 GMT7
Does anyones know of a Mac OSX 10.4 app that rips a video from a DVD
and converts directly to DV and also that rips the Ac3 audio track
into 6 discrete .wav files?
If not, how would you accomplish this workflow?
inserting eps files in Openoffice Impress24 Apr 2007 20:31 GMT8
I just downloaded Openoffice for my new MacBook Pro. When I tried to
insert an eps graphics file in an Impress file, all I got was a
bounding box with name of the file (and a couple of other attributes,
such as the date of creation). Is it possible to get the image to

Off-Mac storage23 Apr 2007 20:02 GMT9
I'd like to able to take a bunch of files from a Mac (10.4), store them on
another, non-Mac computer, and get them back unchanged, with all
attributes and stuff.
I presume I can bundle them into one or more .tar or .dmg files, which
Parallels23 Apr 2007 16:21 GMT70
With Parallels software, which I just heard of, can I load any (or most any)
Windows applications to run on a Mac notebook?  Would there be a problem
with Mac OS upgrades-like Leopard when it comes out?
My reason for asking is that I am (was?) a Windows XP user that is really
