Thoth takes F O R E V E R to open30 Apr 2007 23:36 GMT18
Trying to figure out what takes Thoth so long to open, and how to fix it, but so
far I'm having no luck.
I'm running Thoth v1.8.3 on an iBook G4 operation on OS X v.10.4.4. Thoth is
installed on an external USB 2.0 hard drive.

Royalty Free Wildlife Images29 Apr 2007 11:16 GMT1
I am a keen amatuer wildlife photographer & have recently developed my
own small online image library. Currently there are only 200 or so
images, but some I believe are quite good. All images are royalty free
& just £3 each to download, even cheaper if you subscribe to a monthly
Help!  Can't Install iwork29 Apr 2007 07:22 GMT15
Hi. I just bought Iwork this evening.  I put in the DVD installer and
double-clicked on the "Install iWork '06" icon.  Double-clicking it
launched Stuffit Expander.  Stuffit Expander then gave me the error "The
destination folder 'Packages' is on a locked volume.  Please select
OS X error -39 when burning DVD from Toast 829 Apr 2007 05:25 GMT9
When burning recordings from Eye TV 2.3.3 to Toast 8 using LG DVD-R 1-8x
blanks, I had two writes to fail and on the third try I got an error -39
(end of file.)  I've not had any problems with these disks writing at 2x
speed.  I tried a GQ 16x DVD-R, which I had been using, and ...
Wish no 153728 Apr 2007 23:40 GMT27
I wish... I wish... I wish that Get Info would show a brief
description of what an app does. Some I have that I have never
actually got to use and have forgotten but now and again find
time to wonder about.
Dash the Dashboard28 Apr 2007 13:37 GMT3
I have searched, I have looked in groups and online forums. Can't find
a really simple way to close the Dashboard. It does nothing for me,
just sits there, takes up RAM. I NEVER use it. Some forums say to type
in a certain command in the Terminal. I want a simple button or menu

iLife/iWork anytime soon?28 Apr 2007 12:55 GMT50
Aloha everyone,
I was thinking of purchasing iLife and iWork, but was waiting for June,
assuming that they would be release around the same time as Leopard.
Now, knowing that Leopard has been delayed until October, I'm in a bit
BootCamp and Parallels trial version28 Apr 2007 03:50 GMT2
I've installed XP Pro with BootCamp on my new MacBook with a tiny 80 GB
harddisk. It boots into Windows as it should.
Usually, though, I will prefer to boot into MacOS X and then access
Windows from Parallels. And this should be possible - according to the
Question: Can I Use Pages 2 on an Old G4?27 Apr 2007 17:18 GMT5
Hi. I use a G4 Cube running at 450 Mhz.  I went to the Apple Store today
to purchase Iwork '06 but the listed processor requirements on the
packaging says the software requires a 500 mhz G4.  The difference is
only 50mhz so I asked one of the Geniuses at the store whether the

the same day.  Neither knows the other.)
Minor MS Office registration Issue26 Apr 2007 22:23 GMT2
My Intel iMac came with a trial version of Microsoft Office 2004, at least
I think it did :). Anyway I got my registration number from the university
I work at and used it to register that trial version on the Mac.
It all works fine of course, but in the "About" window for each ...
