I downloaded a ringtone, converted it to MP3, it plays okay. But I
would prefer it louder. It plays softly on my laptop as well as my
phone, so it's the file, not the hardware. Any Mac software out there
that can easily help me boost the volume?

I had to reinstall mac os x on my iMac and now iPhoto won't impoert
Nikon RAW files (NEFs).  It did so in the past and will happily display
NEF files imported long ago, but won't import new ones.
The version is 6.0.5 which is the current version.
